Description
AMC Thoroughbred 20 is a 120,000 sf theater originally built for Carmike Cinemas in 1999 by Parkes Construction (formerly known as R.P. Industries).
In 2010 Parkes Construction renovated the AMC Thoroughbred 20 to include an IMAX theater.
The building was renovated in 2017 transforming the back eight theaters from standard screen to full Dine-In theaters. Additionally, this complete renovation includes a full theater reseat upgraded to electric reclining chairs, commercial kitchen, remastered lobby area, full stand up sit down bar, new concession stands throughout, installation of custom tile, new fl ooring and wall covering.
The renovation was completed in three phases and remained open to the public throughout construction.
